It's okay to be different.....

Posted by Kimberley on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, In : Reflection

It recently dawned on me that I’m about to turn 30. Yes the big 30! Not sure how that happened, the last thing I remember I was 22!

But as I sat on the veranda with my G&T over the weekend, I questioned my life, and thought ‘If i’m about to turn 30, shouldn’t I be married, have kids, a mortgage and the trimmings?’

I suppose this thought might have cropped up since I recently found out my ex suddenly got engaged, my previous ex to him is engaged with children and my ex (my first l...

My kind of Fairytale...

Posted by Kimberley on Sunday, January 23, 2011, In : Short Story

Once upon a time a guy asked a girl
 “Will you marry me?”

The girl said “NO!”

And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, drank Martini’s, always had a clean house, never had to cook, had sex with whomever she please....did whatever the hell the wanted, never argued, travelled more, had many boyfriends, saved more money, had all the hot water to herself, watched chick flicks, never wore fricken lacy lingerie that went up her ass, had high self esteem, never...

What is Herbalife?

Posted by Kimberley on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, In : Health

Back in 2009 when I first met Darren Crookes (SERIOUS Herbalife enthusiast!) I thought the same that you lot are thinking right now.......blah, blah, blah.....Herbalife! I suppose it was really because I had no understanding of Herbalife, and to be honest I had no interest in it either, until I signed up to run my first ½ marathon early 2010.

I met with Darren to see how Herbalife could help me from a nutritional angle. After all, I was a busy business woman with little time to sleep, never...

Get Off Your Arse!

Posted by Kimberley on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, In : Business

It’s very rare that I find a book that makes me laugh and reminisce and cry all at once. So you can imagine my delight when I read Brad Burton’s book: GOYA2 and it exceeded all of the above.

I met Brad Burton back in 2009 at the Doncaster Business Exhibition and was immediately inspired by his drive and passion to help others. So inspired that I decided to join his networking organisation he was banting on about (4Networking /4N) there and then.

After just 6 weeks of membership it was...

New Girl in Town

Posted by Kimberley on Monday, January 17, 2011, In : Travel

I’m a city girl, from Sheffield (UK) with a population of over 530,000 people, so you can understand when I say my initial thoughts of moving to the small country town of Narrabri filled me with dread. I had no idea what to expect and Google produced the worst images of cowboys and rundown barns.

However I have been here for over a month now, and I’m pleased to report living in Narrabri is anything but dull. The small country town I first dreaded is nothing but an idyllic perfection, wi...

I Wish....

Posted by Kimberley on Sunday, January 9, 2011, In : Short Story

It was a lovely day, just as I would have wanted, they said. Not a cloud in sight and the blue sky was illuminating a twinkle in the tears that were being shared around the court yard of the crematorium. I looked around the room filled with familiar faces, ‘Not a bad turn out’ I thought to myself.

Mum’s there doing the usual, making sure people have enough drinks and a copy of the service. She must have asked the same people three times if they want anything else to drink, even though ...

What is love?

Posted by Kimberley on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, In : Inspirational

All men and women are connected by an energy which many people call love, but which is, in fact, the raw material from which the universe was built. The energy cannot be manipulated, it leads us gently forward, it contains all we have to learn in this life. If we try to make it go in the direction we want, we end up frustrated, disillusioned, because that energy is free and wild. We could spend the rest of our life saying that we love such a person or thing, instead of excepting loves strengt...
