It’s very rare that I find a book that makes me laugh and reminisce and cry all at once. So you can imagine my delight when I read Brad Burton’s book: GOYA2 and it exceeded all of the above.

It doesn't matter whether customers come to you, or whether you go to your customer's, the selling process is much the same. Either way there are key steps to successful selling:


Step 1: Prepare
Whatever the circumstances of your sale you need to know as much about your customers or clients as possible. Always do some solid market research to get an idea about the type of business you are going to attract.

Does advertising work?

"We can't do advertising. Advertising sucks. eBay, Google and YouTube don't do it." I hear the so-called 'experts' telling you: 'Advertising is on its way out! It's the new economy! It's all about word-of-mouth!'

So does advertising work? Of course it does. Don't just take my word for it, just look at McDonalds, Coke, Pepsi, but to name a few!

How do I advertise my business?

Do you know how many businesses I come across that have advertised in the same publication for the past 20 years, simply because that is what they've always done, not sure if it is actually working for them?
