There are many occasions in our life when we come across the inevitable fork in the road, and there’s no one or anything to tell us which decision is right. It’s frustrating, but we have to make a choice. So how do we make the decision which path to go down? And how do we know it’s the right one?

Personally I like to follow my gut instinct. I suppose I’m lucky I have this ability, and touch wood it is yet to take me down the wrong path. I also like to visualise myself in either scenario to see which decision I’m most comfortable with. If one scenario feels right, more than the other then I do it.

I’ve recently had to make the tough decision to end my travels and go home earlier than I had anticipated. Let me point out at this point, this was a very difficult decision to make. But when I visualised being in Sheffield (including the cold wind and rain) it felt right, and I knew my decision to go home was the right one. Who’s to say this is the right decision? I guess only time will tell. But also who’s to say it’s the wrong decision too?  Decisions or at least the decision making can be difficult. But the opportunities that are open to us from making a decision are wonderful. Don’t be afraid of making a decision, just do what’s right for you.

If you have a perfected decision making technique I’d be interested to know what it is.
